We all need love. Need or want? Do you constantly have the need to cling on to someone, have the tendency to think everything would be alright again if only you are in that someone’s arms? Are you having a companion, merely to assuage your desolation, to fill up that huge chasm of loneliness in your heart? Sure, everyone gets lonely from time to time. But it’s a poor and selfish excuse for needing someone. I’m not saying it’s wrong to need, it’s the extend of the neediness. Keep on pining (and whining), and you end up being too needy. Subsequently, your being too needy will allow your partner an excuse to detach themselves from you. Gradually. Yep, most people will deny they’re needy, being needy is weak. Or so they say. Thus, being a self-sufficient girl is the best. In that way, you can strike a delicate balance between needing and wanting someone. I need you and I want you, not I need you and I need you to need/want me. That kinda thing, you know?

I’ve done a lil observation today. Without being too judgemental, I’d say I’m turning into a pushover. Meek. Afraid to speak up. Shy? Hmm.. There will be times when silence is the best option, but not all the time! How to un-pushover yourself? Hmm.. Being assertive, confident AND at the same time, being yourself isn’t all that difficult.. Is it? *ponders* I’m lost.. And I need hugs!

It’s Gonna Rain
Wet, cold, shivering, disheveled but definitely not hungry. I soaked up plenty of sun but seldom the rain. I did not enjoy the rain, it brings with it an air of desolation, of melancholic rhythm. I’d dance and sing in the rain if I was younger. Back then, water was more pure, and so was people’s hearts. Safely cocooned in the car, with the soft humming of the engine lulling me to sleep, I never give a damn about pedestrians plodding under the rain, clutching their umbrellas ever so tightly, avoiding potholes and muddy little whatnots, all the while trying to stay dry. That is, until I’m one of the pedestrians, albeit an umbrella-less one. People don’t know what until they experience it themselves. That’s walking a mile in my shoes for you. And Bonnie Pink’s It’s Gonna Rain is playing..

"O, Draconian Devil!
Oh, lame saint!"
Read the Da Vinci Code? It’s a page-turner alright, with nasty surprises and unexpected twists abound. Rivetting? Yes. Best read? Not really. In fact, Angels and Demons is a better read, if you ask me. I wish they’d make a movie about that too, and if they did, it’d be an ultra controversial movie too. Perhaps even more so than Da Vinci Code. The late Pope would toss and turn in his grave.. But then again, it’s nothing more than a work of fiction, a made-believe story right? So why the fuss?
P.S: I love Saving Jane - Girl Next Door!
